The Fourth Industrial Revolution is upon us, bringing more technological and economic change in the last decade than at any time in human history. With the rise of the gig economy and global access to the internet, new opportunities abound, but with them come new challenges. A significant percentage of jobs around the globe are likely to be automated or eliminated in the near future. Few countries are prepared for the impact of this change.
Even in developed nations, a significant percentage of the population does not possess the skills needed for modern jobs, leaving thousands of open positions. In the long term, this affects stability and growth for individuals and countries. We understand that building for the future of work is essential, which is why we incorporate capacity building and knowledge exchange in all our initiatives, and ensure that project outcomes contribute to the creation of decent jobs.
